On Sunday, April 9^th, the MIT India Conference will be held in Cambridge, MA. The conference aims to highlight the key social, business, entertainment, and political challenges, practices, and innovations that are shaping India today and tomorrow. This year’s conference theme is “Digital India” and the discussions will focus on how the digital and technological revolution is changing the social, political and economic landscape of the country. Over 300 people are expected to attend.

The conference will bring together prominent speakers from various sectors, including government, the for-profit, and the social impact worlds. A few of the confirmed speakers include:

·         Mr. Nishith Acharya (CEO, Citizence & Former Senior Advisor in President Obama’s Administration)

One of the key panels will be, “Leveraging Technology for Social Impact.” This panel cover how technology can be a catalyst to alleviate some of India’s biggest problems. It will feature top leaders, including Mr. Venkat Srinivasan, who is the Founding CEO and Chairman of RAGE Frameworks and the Vice Chair of Board of Directors for the American India Foundation (AIF). Mr. Srinivasan will talk about the innovative work of AIF and how the organization is leveraging technology to create large-scale impact at India’s base of the pyramid.
