Arth Patel Wins My Kool Smiles Scholarship Fund Essay Contest
Arth Patel has won a USD 5,000 scholarship for writing an essay on contribution of dental health on the wellbeing of children and families in the US.
Arth Patel, a student at the UCLA School of Dentistry, discussed his experience growing up in rural India where quality dental care was not available and how his family benefited from access to community-based dental healthcare programmes after moving to the US.
Patel earned a USD 5,000 scholarship for his winning essay on how dental health contributes to the wellbeing of children and families, the university said in a statement.
Kool Smiles, a provider of quality dental care in underserved communities in the US, announced the winner of its first annual My Kool Smiles Scholarship Fund essay contest, sponsored by the Benevis Foundation, the statement added.

Bollywood is off to an excellent start in 2017! This year brings a few remixes of old classics that are becoming quite popular with this generation's listeners and dancers. A.R. Rahman's "The Humma Song" is remixed from the original 1998 "Humma Humma" from the movie Bombay. "Laila Main Laila" from Raees starring Shahrukh Khan is a modern day take on the original from the movie Qurbani in 1980. Ok Jaanu holds several spots on this week's charts, and likely will keep #1 for several more weeks to come! Close behind is my favorite of the week, the garba song "Udi Udi Jaye."
