Wholistic Health Alliance Conducts Yet Another Successful Open House

Pratibha Shah

Wholistic Health Alliance held yet another successful Open House on November 6th, 2016, at the Sons of Italy.  This signature annual event has grown in size and offerings with every year.

This year there were 20 vendors/practitioners with offerings ranging from Natural soaps, Acupuncture, Reiki, Integrative Wellness, Ayurveda Academy, Genomics in herbs, Byuteko breathing, Young Living essential oils, Bemer mats, Sweetamine and more. It was remarkable to see the growth in addition to MA vendors came from Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York and one came from Switzerland with an organic line of Ayurvedic skin care products named Ayu.

Experiential sessions offered for the first time this year were immensely popular and included Bolly X dancing for fitness, Tai Chi, Byuteko breathing and Om Meditation. Products and services were generously donated for the door prizes and free raffles much to the joy and delight of participants.

The Chief Guest this year was Dr. V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai, who holds four degrees from MIT and is a world-renowned systems scientist. His study and research in systems biology at MIT, led to his discovery of Systems Health®, a major breakthrough that provides an integrative framework linking eastern and western medicine.

We spoke with a few vendors and attendees and given below is their feedback:

‘I being a first time attendee practitioner, really enjoyed myself and found it very beneficial, in all aspects from connections to how beautifully and professionally it was done! Hats off to Prathiba! And her hard work!’ Afshan Kirmani

‘I think the location was a great choice, having open space in the main room and a side room that was quiet for more mindfulness-oriented activities. My mother was very happy with the quality of the soaps that she purchased at one of the vendor tables.’ John Saia

'We at Yes! Natural Chutneys, had a great success to be part of the Open House. We were SOLD OUT by the end of the day!’ Sonal Khakkhar

‘I want to congratulate Wholistic Health Alliance on its 3rd successful open house.  Pratibha Shah is a wonderful person and the team is fabulous to meet and get to know in person.  I strongly feel the Wholistic Health Alliance open house presentations are a necessary part of community health initiative and will benefit with a larger platform and audience alike. I am looking forward to more upcoming meetings with WHA that connect our community.’ Vandana Sharma

‘Truly, this was a memorable experience! The vendors were exciting, the experiential sessions were fun, intriguing and mind-opening, and the Chief Guest was so inspiring! The raffles were great fun, and demonstrated the generous heart of the people and companies that donated the wonderful gifts. But most of all, BEST of all, was the sense of community, of coming together, of so many holistic modalities and products. Thrilled to have been a part of WHA, and looking forward to moving forwards and outwards :)’ Suraja Menon Roychowdhury, MA State Chair, Wholistic Health Alliance.

Pratibha Shah was unequivocal in her gratitude to those who supported her dream of organizing this Open House she said, "Like with any other non-profit and event, it takes a village to make it happen. Thanks to WHA MA State Chair Suraja Menon Roychowdhury, and Adviser Poonam Ahluwalia for their untiring support and contributions. No non-profit can thrive or function without volunteers.
