Bhagavad Gita For Daily Living At Chinmaya Boston

Press Release
07/20/2016

An answer to every question – The Book that has it and more!

More so now than ever before, people across the world are faced with a unique set of challenges that threaten to break the very fabric of our existence. All headlines points to a world that is reeling under the combined threat of wars, divided on the basis of religion, race and culture.

The author of "The clash of civilizations and the Remaking of the world order" concluded in his 1996 book that cultural coexistence requires “a search for what is common to most civilizations”. But, the Bhagavata Purana foretold the coming of this strife as early as 5000 BC. The key takeaway here is we are increasingly focused on the differences and not on the common thread across us, which binds us and brings us together.

This is where the teachings of ancient religions step into the void and help guide us. When interpreted by a great master, and delivered with compassion and kindness, this message becomes more powerful and supports us as we are faced with these challenges every day and wonder when it will all end. And how it will all end?

The Bhagavad Gita is now more relevant than ever before as we face questions about our own role in this universe. What is our dharma? How should we act? When should we act? Should we act?

Chinmaya Mission Boston was founded on the principle of providing "Maximum joy to the maximum people for the maximum time" by the process of self-realization. Pujya Guruji, Swami Tejomayananda ji, a learned sage and exponent of Vedic literature and the current global head of Chinmaya Mission will help us look for some of the answers in the wisdom of Bhagavad Gita and how it can be applied immediately in our daily lives.
