Indian American For Burlington Presents Two Scholarships

On June 2nd Burlington high school had their BHS scholarship award night for the class of 2016. Along with many Burlington organization, IAB – Indian American for Burlington presented a scholarship of $1,000 for the Volunteer Service Award which was received by Sruti Pandey and STEM award received by Shannon Carey. Sruti Pandey will be pursuing a career in biochemistry from Boston University and Shannon Carey will be pursuing a career in Robotics Engineering from WPI. IAB members Darshan Thakkar and Menka Jethra presented the awards.

IAB congratulates the two students for receiving this scholarship and wishes them good luck as they go off to college and follow their dreams.

IAB was very pleased to receive a thank you note from Sruti Pandey, who wrote:

I would like to thank IAB for the Volunteer Service Award. This Scholarship helps make college more affordable for me. I am very thankful for your support in my education. I hope you continue this wonderful program for other high school students who want to pursue higher education. It is truly a generous scholarship.

This is the second year IAB has contributed to the BHS scholarship fund and hoping to continue contributing every year. IAB is a growing organization and with the hard-work of the team, they are hoping the scholarship amount will be increasing every year.
