Five Indian Americans In Race To Make History In American Politics

California Attorney General Kamala Harris is all set to enter the Senate, and could become the first Indian-origin to be elected to the US Senate, after she won the California primaries on June 7th.

In addition, there are four Indian-Americans who have advance and are now in the final stage of the race for the US House of Representatives.

Ami Bera, who is seeking his third consecutive term, and Ro Khanna, who is one again pitted against incumbent Mike Honda are running for seats in CA.

The two other Indian-Americans who are running for a seat in the House of Representatives  are Raja Krishnamurthy from Illinois and Pramila Jayapala from Seattle.
