Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who returned from Cannes on Tuesday morning decided to skip the musical evening of her upcoming film 'Sarbjit'.Reportedly, the actress has a sore throat because of which she decided to skip the event. Apart, from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the entire cast of the film and Sarbjit's family attended the event. Randeep Hooda plays Sarabjit Singh in this film, Sarbjit. The film is a biopic of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death.

"It's been 40 years since I and Naseer have been working in the industry but we have never done a film together. Earlier, most films were offered to Naseeruddin Shah and none to me. I used to pray to God that he should meet with an accident or fracture his leg or something so that I could get his roles. But it never happened and I lost faith in God,` a chuckling Nana stated.

Actress Kajol met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Wednesday regarding Help A Child Reach 5 campaign, which spreads the importance of good hand-washing habits around the world.Kajol has been actively advocating the cause on various platforms in India as well as globally. She has been engaging with various policymakers to make a difference, by promoting behaviour change by hand washing with soap through Hindustan Unilever's Swacch Aadat, Swacch Bharat initiative. To discuss more about it, she met Modi and later shared that the meeting went off really well. "I told him how we have been doing this for the last four years. We have the statistics and we knew it worked. It wasn't just in theory. We talked about how hand wash should be mandatory in schools. It is necessary to put in not only toilet, but wash basins as well," she told IANS.

The actor who looked fit as ever has resumed for work and starts shoot for his first ad shoot! Sanjay Dutt shot for his first ad commercial last Friday and the actor just loved every bit of it! As the actor had no access to a gym, Sanjay started using the phawdas which is used to carry water as his dumbbells!

Kalki Koechlin, who features with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in the forthcoming film 'Waiting', says it was the movie's "brilliantly written" script that made her sign the film. "Naseer was not on board when I read the script, so it was pretty much the script itself (which made me sign the film). I thought it was such a brilliantly written script," Kalki said in a statement. The 'Dev D' star also shared that even though the subject is serious, the film's script had humour and hope in it. "That's also what humanity is all about, that we find ways to overcome and rise above the most difficult things, so that's what really caught me,` she said. Directed by Anu Menon, 'Waiting' also stars Suhasini Ratnam, Rajat Kapoor and Arjun Mathur. It is releasing on May 27.
