Shah Rukh Khan says the idea of his forthcoming film 'Fan', which will bring forward a story about a fan's obsession with a star, was first narrated to him by late veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra. The superstar is glad that he could bring the idea to life. The 50-year-old star shared the news during an episode of Colors' show 'Comedy Nights Bachao', read a statement from the channel. "Very few people know that the concept of 'Fan' was first narrated to me by Yashji about 10 years ago. While I was excited to explore the idea back then, for some reason it never happened. Today, I'm glad we could bring his idea to life," Shah Rukh said. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film has been shot in various locations in Mumbai, Croatia and Delhi. With the film, Sharma pans the camera to the life of a celebrity and splashes shades of darkness with a focus on a fan's obsession.

In his hour of need, looks like Rahul Raj Singh cannot depend on most people, including his lawyer. A day after he was booked for allegedly abetting his girlfriend Pratyusha Banerjee's suicide, Rahul's advocate Neeraj Gupta withdrew from the case, making a shocking claim - "Rahul is a liar and is not trustworthy. My conscience will not allow me to defend him," he told mid-day. "When I questioned him, he kept lying and did not give clear answers. Then I learnt the truth about certain things - that he used to hit Pratyusha and treat her badly. I thought of my daughter and realised I could not take his case," Gupta added.

Shraddha Kapoor may be playing a rebellious girl in her upcoming film 'Baaghi', but the actress says she will only go beyond and break the norms for something she believes in. The 27-year-old actress, who will be sharing screen with her childhood friend Tiger Shroff for the first time in the Shabbir Khan film, said she doesn't endorse the idea of being a rebel for no reason."I am a rebel in some ways, but I would like to be rebel for a cause. That could be any cause I believe in. Being rebellious unnecessarily is something I don't prefer or endorse,"  said Shraddha.

Amitabh Bachchan on Tuesday denied links with any of the offshore shipping companies in which he is supposed to be a director according to the leaked 'Panama Papers'."I do not know any of the companies referred to by Indian Express - Sea Bulk Shipping Company Ltd, Lady Shipping Ltd, Treasure Shipping Ltd and Tramp Shipping Ltd," the actor said in a statement. "I have never been a director of any of the above stated companies," he said. "It is possible that my name has been misused. "Amitabh added: "I have paid all my taxes, including on monies spent by me overseas. Monies that I have remitted overseas have been in compliance with law, including remittances through LRS, after paying Indian taxes. "In any event the news report in Indian Express does not even suggest any illegality on my part."
