Inesh Vytheswaran Wins 2nd Prize For Mridangam At Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival 2016

Inesh Vytheswaran is a thirteen year old, seventh grader at the Wellesley Middle school.  He won second prize in the Junior Mridangam category (46 participants, ages 11-15) at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana, conducted on March 27th, 2016.  He was asked to play a Thani Avarthanam in Misra Chappu Thaalam.   Inesh began his advanced training under Dr. Rohan Krishnamurthy of CA, two years ago and is part of the RohanRhythm Percussion studio.  He started learning the Mridangam seven years ago from Sri. Mali Santhanakrishnan.  Inesh also enjoys classical and Jazz paino and the clarinet.  He is currently preparing for a Mridangam performance at the Albany, NY temple.
