Farewell To The Consul General, Ambassador Dnyaneshwar Mulay

The Indian community in New York, headed by the GOPIO in collaboration with the Consulate of India organized a get together to bid farewell to the Consul General, Ambassador Dnyaneshwar Mulay on February 14, 2016. Mr. Mulay has been appointed to head the newly formed ‘India Diaspora Division’ in the Ministry of External Affairs incorporating the Ministry hitherto known as Ministry of Overseas India Affairs. His many great contributions covering all aspect of services – personal and official are recalled and appreciated by every speaker and the audience in full attendance.

Rajat Bhatnagar, Director-Intergovernmental Relations, South Asian Arts Council (SAAC), read out a note on behalf of Governor Charlie Baker and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, wishing him congratulations on his upcoming assignment with the Ministry of External Affairs. Governor Baker and the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI) expressed deep appreciation for work  in strengthening the relationship between India and Massachusetts. The partnership between India and Massachusetts is stronger than ever due to CG Mulay’s tenure at the consulate.
