Press Release
02/03/2016

Calcutta Club USA  (www.calcuttaclubusa.com) is organizing Cuisinier, an Indian/fusion culinary contest on Feb 13th at Maynard Elks from 12 - 5 PM. The organization is well recognized for presenting innovative public events such as the International Bookfair and the Caleidoscope Cinefest in 2015.

Cuisinier provides a platform for all non-professional food lovers and cooks to demonstrate their skills in creating and presenting one item which they have mastered or invented. In the process, the contestant develops confidence and has a lot of fun in an encouraging environment. Complete details of Cuisinier are available on www.calcuttaclubusa.com/cuisinier

The program will feature two segments - Live cooking contest, broken down into an appetizer, main course and dessert round, as well an overall Recipe Contest. The latter is for participants who would not like to cook on the spot, but can bring their favorite dish cooked from home for display and evaluation.

The event will be sponsored by several local businesses from the Greater Boston Area. All are welcome to attend for free with prior registration. While there will be a panel of experienced judges, some segments of the competition will solicit public voting.  It'll be a unique opportunity for Maynard citizens to experience the preparation of Asian recipe and try out Indian delicacies offered by top restaurants of the region. A winners and runner trophy and awards from sponsors will be given to successful contestants.
