SAPNE Hosts “Voice Of The People”

SAPNE, the South Asian Poets of New England is scheduled to host the first “Voice of the People” event on November 21, at 2 PM in Cary Public Library in Lexington, MA.  The effort is expected to create a collection of the influential poems from South Asia, selected by the local poets.  The event is free and all are invited to attend.

The following poets would participate:

Shrabonti Bandopadhyay – English

Maneesh Srivastav – Hindi,
Amandeep Singh - Punjabi

Bijoy Misra – Oriya

Chandu Shah   - Gujarati

Anil Mehrotra -  Urdu

Prem Nagar – Hindi

Sanjeev Tripathi – Hindi

Ajit Chadha  - Punjabi

Chandrika Govardhan – Tamil

Sajed Kamal – Berngali

Mahesh Sharma – English

Maya De – Bengali

Alok De – Bengali

Shiva Gautam - Nepali

If express yourself in poetry, you can join SAPNE and participate.  SAPNE is particularly looking for Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil participation.   You can write to
