Sir Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (1888-1975) was one of the most profound philosophers of this century, author and educationalist. In India, September 5 is celebrated as Teacher's Day in his honor.

Unless we have dedicated and committed teachers to take teaching as a mission in their lives, a good educational system cannot be developed.
