Wholistic Health Alliance Holds 2nd Annual Open House

The Wholistic Health Alliance held its 2nd Annual Open House on November 8, 2015 from noon-5pm at the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA. Wholistic Health Alliance has been founded by leading Ayurveda expert Pratibha Shah, BAMS, Master in Ayurveda, MPH, with the vision of providing a platform for holistic health practitioners to come together under one umbrella, fostering collaborations, building stronger networks, and enabling greater synergy with the community. WHA aims to help build healthier communities through education and information dissemination about self-care, healthy diet and lifestyle, simple tools for primary prevention, and holistic solutions to health and wellness.

The Open House was inaugurated by Chief Guest Rose Pavlov, CEO and Founder of Ivy Child International, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching children and communities mindfulness, self-regulation, and leadership. The event was sponsored by Ravindra Mahadev on behalf of Ameriprise. BDC TV was the event’s media partner.

Ten vendors representing a variety of holistic practices, participated in the event. Danielle Berg, a natural soap maker (Immaculate Soaps) from Maine, was the youngest vendor; her grandmother, Darlene Ertha, a Naturopath, the oldest. The following vendors also participated: Aveta Biomics, Bhavna’s Wellness Group, Dhaya Embrace, EZ Compliments Cooking, Inner Voice Homeopathy, Kerala Ayurveda Academy, Ortho Bionomy, and Well Life Medical. The event was attended by over 150 people.

Few comments that were shared with WHA about the event:

“Wholistic Health Alliance is serving our community by strengthening and building pathways to provide optimal health resources for our children and families. The second annual open house brought together a diverse array of practitioners for a celebration of community and health. This afternoon of workshops provided an opportunity to share best practices in holistic health care and strengthen the network of providers. Wholistic Health Alliance provides invaluable resources for supporting and connecting healthy communities and holistic healthcare providers through this annual event and throughout the year.”
- Rose Pavlov, Chief Guest; CEO and Founder, Ivy Child International

“I attended the WHA  2nd Annual Open house this past Sunday. The open house was so well organized by its founder Dr Prathiba Shah. Her meticulous attention to detail and fine organization skills showed through. There was a captivating speaker and a welcoming and hilarious MC. The vendors present were such an interesting mix of practitioners and artisans with some intriguing holistic goods and services to present. I am proud to say that I recently joined this group on-line as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor practitioner and am so pleased to be part of this organization, Dr Shah’s mission of fostering support for the holistic practitioner community and integration of allopathic and holistic care is right in line with my own philosophy of community health and wellness. Thank you WHA for a fun and educational afternoon.”

â€œFabulous event Pratibha Shah! Well covered by Razia Boston! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed attending the event - it was eye-opening for me to see the numerous holistic / alternative treatments available! I strongly believe in holistic treatment since it addresses the root cause, not just the symptoms. Thank you to both of you and all others manning the booths.”
- Revathy Ramakrishna, Co-Founder, Vision Aid.

“Great Open House! Very professional and useful event. Best wishes.”
- Puran Dang, Founder Senior Adviser Minuteman Group LLC.
