Gurjar celebrated its annual Diwali dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Woburn on Sunday Nov 8th. The response was tremendous, and the program was sold out at 300 plus guests enjoying the evening. Gurjar on its 39th year has become a hallmark for putting its' best foot forward in all their planned events. Guests enjoyed the delicious food prepared by the BAPS catering service, and the live band from India called “Mumbai Masti” thrilled the audience with the combination of new and old popular Hindi songs.  The surprise dance performance from Kamlesh Patel, one of the contenders from the past dance India dance ( DID) program, amazed the audience. The paraplegic dancer was watched with 'AWE' by everyone.

"Gurjar received numerous compliments from the attendees for delicious Gujarati food, music, venue and ice cream. It is the team work and dedication of Gurjar committee members and support from our long-time sponsors, which make such events very successful and enjoyable" said Deval Kamdar, current president of Gurjar.

Gurjar invited four ex-president to perform the diya ceremony. The glitz and glamor, the clamor of clinking utensil, the bells of laughter all around was the norm for the entire evening.
