Hindi Manch: Ye Jo Hai Geeton Ka Haar, Chitrahaar

Hindi Manch who work all year round to promote Hindi, Urdu languages and related dialects through Music, theatre, cultural events and literary sittings, has announced its much awaited musical extravaganza of the year ‘Chitrahaar’. The show will be presented on December 13th at Thoreau School, Concord, MA.

Director Anish Khanzode, who is one of the members of Sangeet Vibhag of Hindi Manch is the chair for this event.  The concept of Chitrahaar was developed to provide another singing platform to semi-finalists and finalists of Hindi Manch Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Hindi Manch staged Chitrahaar for the first time in 2012, it was a tribute to some legendary artists of Hindi Film Fraternity, Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Jagjit Singh, Rajesh Khanna and Yash Chopra. All the songs were performed by finalists and semifinalists of Hindi Manch SaReGaMaPa 2012. This year Chitrahar will be presented with a bit of a ‘Tadka’ and that Tadka is going to be on stage enactment of one of the episodes of a very famous Doordarshan’s television series.  Twenty One Semifinalists from Hindi Manch SaReGaMaPa 2014 will present some melodious Bollywood numbers. The presentation of the skit is totally owned by Natya Vibhag of Hindi Manch, the theatre arm of the organization. The team picks up the theme and prepare it in such way that it is seamlessly sewn through this ‘Garland of the songs’.

Chitrahaar promises to be an entertaining event with memorable Hindi songs, witness the versatility of few amazing singers from New England area, relive those Doordarshan days through some amazing local actors and much more.

Hindi Manch is a non-profit organization whose aim is to bring people who know or want to know Hindi/Urdu and related dialects together by cultural, social and educational programs and activities and to propagate Hindi language and culture in the future generations. This organization is not related to any caste, religion, region or area. This organization welcomes people from all religion, region and languages.
