It was a dream come true for Boston Kannadigas when the NAVIKA team announced the Rasamanjari program with Kannada film super star 'Upendra ". Fondly called by his fans as "Uppi", super star Upendra is a renowned Actor, Director, Lyricist and Producer. Uppi's salient style of dance, dialogue, music and story have created a new sensation and novel thinking amongst the movie goers. He is a rare amalgamation of energy, originality , maturity and humility . A sensational theater personality of his stature participated in the Rasamanjari program organized by Dr. Raj Rajur and team of North America Vishwa Kannada Association here in Framingham, MA at Keefe Tech Auditorium.The desire to bring a personality of his caliber to Boston started 3 years ago with NAVIKA Boston 2013 summit and it appeared to have successfully happened "when the stars aligned" in Uppi's own words on Sept 27th, 2015.

The halls were booming and the music was soaring as the gathering filled with enthusiastic fans of all ages was charged with emotions and excitement seeing their favorite film personality Uppi singing, dancing, delivering dialogues and enacting his movie scenes with candor and authenticity. In the discussion that followed, Upendra answered all flavors of questions asked by the audience and not only patiently reacted to feedback given by fans but also prudently and wittily kept his fans entertained. The answers that followed were deeply meaningful and at the same time very applicable to today's living, bringing out a rare glimpse of Uppi's inner maturity and strength.

The crowd was in awe to see such a down to earth star from the Motherland, and Uppi made the day even more memorable as he interacted with each and every fan during the countless photo session and selfies. Uppi rocked the stage and won our hearts giving all the Kannadigas sweet memories to cherish for years to come. The fans came in  throngs from NH, MA, CT, RI, Maine, NJ and Canada to be a part of the eventful evening.

Dr. Raj Rajur, President of NAVIKA, Dr.Krupa Rajur, Mr.Vijay Hosahalli, Mr.Lingaraj Lingadal, Mr.N.B.Patil, Mr.Sudhakar Rao, Mr.Madhu Mattihalli honored Mr.Upendra in traditional Karnataka style . The event was organized by NAVIKA in association with New England Kannada Koota (NEKK) and Veera Shaiva Samaja of New England (VSNE).It was a great effort put together by all the teams, sponsors and volunteers in a short span of one week making the event a grand success. ​
