Kumu Gupta recently joined New England Emmy Award's Student Award's Committee. The Student Awards Committee honors Students from Boston-area high schools for their television and journalism work. 

National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), is the premier and most recognized non‐profit organization dedicated to the advancement of excellence in television.  The Academy awards the EMMY® Award, the most prestigious, peer‐judged honor in television for outstanding creative achievement and now serves all the television markets in the United States through its 20 chapters. The Boston/New England Chapter represents all the broadcast markets in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and the majority of Connecticut except for Fair field County.
