Next, I would like to call out the real champions of the event - the volunteers, without whom we would not have had a spike in the ground, all the courts to play in, all the umpiring and scoring and line-judging and the arbitrations and capturing memories for the annals and cleaning up and on and on and on. Big round of applause to all of them. You know who you are but you also deserve a shout out Raj Cheeti, Pavan Banda, Shyam Singaraju, Sreekumar Velpula, Vijay Kunda, Rama Buddineni, Sudheer Boyinpally, Vijay Kaki, Venu Madadi, Arvind Takkalapally, Naveen Addagudi, Swarun Joginipalli were instrumental in making Freedom Cup-VI a historic success.

Ranjani Saigal ji, Executive Director Ekal Vidyalaya who were  present at the event as chief guests and distributed prizes to the Champions and runners.  Dr. Anil Saigal expressed the need for such tournaments to bring the Indian American community together and also reach out to communities from all other nationalities and ethnicities in the Boston area.  Ranjani Saigal ji spoke about Ekal Vidyalay and their work reaching out to 54,000 villages in some of the most backward regions and underprivileged communities back in India.
