Burlington is home to one of the largest large Indian American population and yet unlike many other towns, there was no formal organization to represent them. IAB was formed with the intention to use the immense talent of the Indian Americans to contribute in positive ways to the people of the town. 

"Education is very important for Indian Americans and hence our organization will work to help the students at the Burlington schools. One of the first things we did was to create a scholarship for Burlington High School graduating seniors," said Anil Saigal. 

Vinita Shah, founder of Teach India project is exploring options to run a homework clinics for school children using the talent in the Indian community. 

Rita Shah  has worked tirelessly in the community to provide support services for Indian American seniors in Burlington. She invited everyone to come join and participate in the July 4th parade in the Town of Burlington.

Indra Deb is part of the Conservation Committee and talked about actively participating in town and civic activities for the overall benefit of the community and the society.

The association hopes to model itself on other successful organizations, like the Indian Americans of Lexington to create an impact in all walks of life in Burlington
