‘Chinmaya  Melodies’ the Musical Extravaganza  hosted by the Chinmaya Mission Fairfield-New Haven on May 2, was a big success. The evening started with attendees mingling with friends over delicious Indian snacks and hot masala chai during the Social Hour. New-Jersey based Sanjeev and Armeen Ramabhadran mesmerized the packed Hamden Middle School auditorium with their awesome renditions of old and new Bollywood songs, as well as some regional favorites. In the second half of the evening, the young maestros fielded numerous song requests from the audience such as, “Raina Beeti Jaaye”, “Madhuban Mein Radhika Naache Re”and  “Shankarabharanam” that were accompanied by pledges to the Chinmaya Mission.  An unexpected treat was hearing 9 year-old Rikhav Ramabhadran dazzle the audience with a couple of lyrical songs.
