Indian Month of Vaisakh (April-May), marks the beginning of Punjabi New Year. It is also the time when harvest season is over and Punjabi farmers celebrate with Bhangra and delicious food! To celebrate Vaisakhi in Boston area, Punjabi community is organizing Vaisakhi Mela 2015, on Saturday May 16th in Bridgewater MA. Event will feature lots of Bhangra, Gidha, songs and skits from local youth. There will be delicious Punjabi food and open dance floor with DJ! Since fall, Bhangra Moms of MA are helping the youth to prepare for the event. It is a community effort to engage the youth with their rich culture and heritage! On May 16th, hall of Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish in Bridgewater MA, will reverberate with sounds of Bhangra and Dhol!
