Cinema icons Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan were conferred with Padma Vibhushan -- India's second highest civilian honor -- by President Pranab Mukherjee.The awards, announced on the eve of this year's Republic Day, were accorded at an investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several union ministers attended the function.

If sources are to be believed, two contractual workers employed for Kabir Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' are awaiting their medical compensation totaling Rs 31,000 since the last few months. A unit source says a painter fractured his right hand at ND Studios last December and his medical expenses came to around Rs 26,000. "A month before that, a carpenter was diagnosed with dengue during the set construction and was hospitalised for five days. His medi-claim is about Rs 5,000. But neither of them has been compensated so far," adds the source.
