On July 12th, a wonderful veena arangetram by Suhasini Aravinthan took place at Medway High School. This three-hour-plus long arangetram can be described in one sentence as an event that showed beauty and elegance of the instrument, and was filled with melodious and flawless music.

As the audience filed into the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library on June 14, 2014 in anticipation of Yamini Nambiar’s Bharatanatyam Arangetram, the dancer herself was a picture of poise and grace backstage. A day she had worked so hard for, a testament to her passion and dedication towards dance – that day was finally here.

Arangetram: Sravya Chary
Sravya Chary performed an arangetram at the Performing Arts Center at Littleton High School on August 9, 2014. By going with her older sister, Sowmya, to her dance classes, Sravya became immersed in the art of Bharathanatyam from a very young age. Guru Smt. Jothi Raghavan took on this young dancer and worked meticulously with her to turn her into the amazing dancer she proved to be at her arangetram.
