Kartika Month Rudrabhishekam Celebrations at NESSP
Kartika month is the best, Purest of purifiers, and most glorious of all months. Vedas say “The effect of performing a pooja during this period lasts for one hundred life times”. Rudrabhishekam is the primary way to worship the Lord Shiva. It is hailed in all Vedic scriptures that one of the greatest poojas to remove all evils, to attain all desires and for all round prosperity.
NESSP (New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar) has been performing Kartika Satyanarayana vratam during the pournami since its inception. Along with that, this year priests performed Rudrabhishekam on all four Monday’s of this holy month. On 15th Nov NESSP, performed Mahanyasa purvaka ekadasa Rudrabhishekam. Lord Shiva Abhishekam was performed with Panchamrutas and all the devotees offered the abhishekam, fruits and flowers. Religious rituals were performed by priest and also along with 10 ritviks chanted the rudram. 100’s of devotees attended the pooja. Some devotees observed a fast and many devotees chanted the hymns to invoke the blessings of Lord Shankara and Sadguru Sai Baba.
NESSP has been formed to bring together all devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba from the Boston, Greater Boston, New England and beyond to spread the message of Baba. The parivaar’s vision is to spread the message of love, kindness, unity and make a meaningful contribution to the welfare of the mankind without any distinction of religion, region, race, sector personal belief.
