Boston Bhangra Holds 11th Annual Bhangra Competition
11 years in the making. This will be the 11th anniversary of the Boston Bhangra Competition. SOLD OUT for the last 10 years…3,000 person attendance….the best BHANGRA teams from North America & Canada…advertising and promotion throughout New England. This is what you will get from the 11th annual Boston Bhangra Competition. It looks like Boston Bhangra has found a niche market where they have been able to get some of the best teams from North America, some great live performing artists and cheap tickets to keep this an event on the up and up. This year should be no different.
The Boston Bhangra Competition, called BBC for short, will be hosted on November 22nd, 2014 at the Orpheum Theatre. The event has been sold out every year at one of the most historical theatres in Boston, which is located at 1 Hamilton Place in Boston, MA. The capacity is close to 3,000 people, and they hope to sell out for the 11th straight year.
This year, the competition will have teams from all over the US and Canada. They will have teams from locations as far west as California, and as close as Boston. Some states represented may include California, Michigan, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and of course Boston, MA. These teams have consistently done well in many competitions, and they will once again make it difficult on the judges.
To add even more excitement to the event, Boston Bhangra will have special performances by UK-based Bhangra superstar Benny Dhaliwal along with MC sensation Jas Johal from the UK! Benny Dhaliwal has created hits like: Hai Oye, Va Vai Va, Ghora, Ghora 2, Aaj Nachna, Att=Jatt and many more! You will also hear the most prominent MC from the UK, Jas Johal lighting up the stage as well.
Passage to India will be the food vendor of choice as they will be serving snacks, dinner and drinks at the venue, so come hungry so that you can enjoy their fantastic food!
India New England, Jhankar, and Sounds of India will be the official media sponsors, helping to promote the competition regionally.
Overall, this is a huge year for the Boston Bhangra Competition, as it will be their 11th anniversary! You don’t want to miss all the action! Ticket prices will range in price from $20 for general admission through $40 for VIP. There are even $100 VVIP tickets if you want to watch Bhangra in style! This is very cheap for a show of this caliber that will be highlighted with more than 3 hours of exciting bhangra from some of the best teams in North America!
“This is a show for the people. We want everybody to come and enjoy Bhangra. That is why we try to keep ticket prices as cheap as possible. We don’t want people to get turned away, unless they wait too long to buy tickets” says Rohit.
E3NA, Ocean Spray, Passage to India, Foley Hoag, and India New England are some of the bigger sponsors that have helped to make this show a reality.
We look forward to seeing you at the Orpheum Theatre on November 22nd, 2014! Buy your tickets early before they’re sold out! For more information, visit www.bostonbhangra.com/bbc. You can also e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 617-448-2508 for more information.
