Recipes - Let's Stir Fry!


Yes - You guessed it right . Garlic - the ingredient that flavors up the stir fry to give its delicious flavor.

Although the sauces in stir fry are endless, you can use your creative juices to whip up your own.

Stir Fry Green - Basic

2 cloves of Garlic
½ tsp anise powder
½ cup bok choy
½ cup baby spinach
¼ cup chopped zucchini
¼ cup chopped broccoli
1 chopped green and red pepper 
1 tsp rice wine
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sesame oil or roasted sesame seeds
Heat the olive oil, in  a preheated wok. Add the garlic and stir fry for 20 seconds stir in all the other ingredients and stir fry of another 4 minutes.  Garnish with sesame seeds or oil  and serve.

Indian Stir Fry - Jalfrezi


3/4 cup  bell peppers (mix of red, yellow and green)
1/2 cup  carrots 
1/2 cup green beans
1/2 cup cauliflower florets
3/4 cup sliced onions
1/2 cup sliced /tofu or slices of paneer
Few shreds of ginger
2 cloves of garlic crushed
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp paprika/red chili powder 
Salt to taste
A dash of Sriracha Sauce
1 tbsp white vinegar
Few mint leaves
3 tbsp oil


Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add the paneer/tofu slices and saute till golden. Keep aside. Add  1/2 tsp oil and fry the carrots,  beans and cauliflower florets. Add another1/2 tbsp oil into the same pan; add the onions and bell peppers. Sauté them on medium high heat till golden. Keep all these aside
Add 1 tbsp oil into the pan. Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds. Add paprika, sriracha and salt. Mix well. Add the onion-pepper mixture and vegetables 
Add the shredded ginger, garlic and vinegar. Add the sautéed paneer and mix them all together.
Heat well. Add roasted sesame seeds on top and serve.
