Young and vivacious Alia Bhatt prefers to consult Karan Johar, the director of her debut film "Student Of The Year", rather than her father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, when she needs advice. On a recent appearance on Zee Cafe's "Look Who's Talking with Niranjan" with Niranjan Iyengar, the 21-year-old confessed that she shares her concerns about career, life and love with KJo. "I prefer calling Karan (Johar) over my father for advice on my films. I even go to him for concerns related to relationships as my father thinks no man will ever be good enough for me," Alia said on the show. She also spoke about her fear of plants, as well as about her reported link-ups with Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.

Salman Khan will apparently not be in Mumbai during the Ganpati festival as he is headed to Los Angeles for an annual medical check up. The actor has just finished shooting for the promos of reality show, 'Bigg Boss 8', and it is being said that he will make several stops before going to LA. It may be pointed out that the actor underwent treatment of trigeminal neuralgia and a brain aneurysm back in 2011. Since then, the actor has been advised to go to LA regularly for his medical check up.

Honey Singh, who had kept his wife Shalini away from media glare, is now finally stepping out with his better half. She was spotted on the sets of his TV show India's Raw Star during the shoot at Film City. Honey was so nervous having her around (she features in an upcoming episode) that the pressure just went to him and a doctor had to be called. The singer had earlier kept his personal life under wraps even denying that he was married.

Actor Kay Kay Menon, who teamed up with Emraan Hashmi for the first time in forthcoming con film "Raja Natwarlal", marvels over his co-star's dedication and professionalism. Emraan will be seen as the conman who is out to take revenge from bad guy Kay Kay in the Kunal Deshmukh's directorial venture. "Emraan is a very cool person. He never takes tension and he comes prepared with all his scenes on the set. He works very professionally," Kay Kay said.

With her film 'Bombay Velvet' now pushed to next year, Anushka Sharma's plans for 'NH 10' seem to have gone for a toss.Anushka Sharma may be in the eye of a storm due to her cricketer beau Virat Kohli's dismal performance in England, but the actress is also facing a professional dilemma. The star's maiden production, NH 10, was slated to release in September this year, but it was pushed ahead to 2015 as she had two big projects - Bombay Velvet with Ranbir Kapoor and PK with Aamir Khan - releasing in November and December respectively. As a producer and actor in NH10, Anushka clearly needed a time gap to market and promote the road thriller. It was, therefore, decided to postpone NH 10 to next year. Now with Bombay Velvet pushed to May 2015, her plans for NH 10 seem to have gone for a toss.
