Obituary: Sunder K. 'Sandy' Ganglani

We are deeply saddened to inform you that IANH Life Member Sunder K. "Sandy" Ganglani passed away on Tuesday August 12, 2014 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. Sandy was actively involved with the India Association and the New England India Center project. He was 69.

"Sunder K. "Sandy" Ganglani, age 69 of Salem, NH, passed away Tuesday at the Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester, NH. Son of the late Kishinchand and Tulsabai Ganglani, Sunder was born in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan, and grew up and was educated in Pune, India.

He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 9 years, formerly of Marblehead, MA. Sandy was a self-employed importer/exporter. He was a member of the Andover, MA Rotary Club and the Sindhi Association of New England (S.A.N.E). He enjoyed needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, and gardening. Sandy was devout, kind-hearted and philanthropic, and will be fondly remembered by friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Aruna (Agastya) Ganglani of Salem, NH, son Sham Ganglani and his wife Zoe of Mansfield, MA, daughter Kamilla Lavoie and her husband Robert of Salem, MA, and son Sunder Ganglani of Salem, MA, and their mother Carolyn Ganglani of Marblehead, MA.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by stepsons Srinivas Gainedy and his wife Jennifer of Charlestown, MA, Vijay Gainedy and his wife Doreen of Worcester, MA, and stepdaughter Lakshmi Dave and her husband Amrish of Windermere, FL, and step-grandchildren: Jasmine, Jaisal and Madison.

He was brother to Hiro (Harry) and wife (Priya) Shobha Ganglani of Woburn, MA, Sardar Singh (Sam) and his wife Betsy Ganglani of Marblehead, MA, Kamla Cotter of London, England, Kanta Kondur of Augusta, GA, Manju (Pushpa) and her husband Ashok Khubani of St. Thomas, USVI, and several nieces & nephews.
