The American India Foundation (AIF) and the Network of South Asian Professionals (NetSAP) Boston invite you to join us for the Annual Kite Flying Event. This is our summer outdoor event/ picnic session where you can enjoy flying kites and making new friends. In addition, we request you to share this event invite with your friends and invite them to join you at this event. Join us for our fun-packed outdoor event on August 23rd, 2014 from 12pm to 4pm as we fill the sky with kites and the air with laughter on Spectacle Island.

‘Reach for the Sky’ is a family event that will jump-start with a beautiful ferry ride into the island; outdoor activities on the island’s sandy beach such as kite flying, frisbee, volleyball and cricket; and a delicious lunch provided by well-known local restaurant (Passage To India).

All proceeds from this event will go towards AIF’s Learning & Migration Program (LAMP). This innovative program helps provide children of Indian migrant workers an education and a shot at a better future. LAMP has provided over 280,000 children an education in 9 states in India.

Transportation/ParkingPlease plan to arrive at the Long Wharf at 11am on Saturday, August 23rd as the ferry for Spectacle Island leaves at 11:30am. We strongly suggest that you take public transportation to Long Wharf—North Pier. The dock is just a short walk away from the Aquarium T stop on the Blue Line. Check out this map: Long-Wharf North.
