athletes do betetr on the Pritikin diet, What athletes? Runners? Not all athletes are runners, actually I would venture to say that MOST athletes are NOT runners. I mean you don't see the world clamoring to watch the Boston Marathon do you? I mean running is a sport but it's not the end all be all of nutrition. Running is cool and I enjoy it at times but I have more fun just going to the park and playing soccer (football) for four hours, or basketball. Just my opinion but you need alot more muscle to perform on those sports since you have to hold position with your body and ya you can beat someone with your quickness and speed you won't do it all the time. Plus there is alot of strategy you have to make split second decisions on the fly all the time as well. I would probably not recommend a low fat diet for these types of athletes. If one of them was vegan or vegetarian that's ok, just not low fat.GD Star Ratingloading...
