An Introduction to Enterprise Business Intelligence
Dwarkamai is pleased to announce the Professional Series Seminar on Enterprise Business Intelligence/Reporting on Nov 3rd and 4th 2012. Business Intelligence is a key area of focus for global corporations as it enables competitive edge in tough business environments and provides insights to improve profitability and operational efficiencies. According to Gartner’s Annual CIO Survey with 2300 respondents across 44 countries and all major industries, the highest priority for investment for next 3 years between 2012 and 2015 is Analytics & Business Intelligence followed by Mobility Enablement and Cloud Computing.

Dimension Modeling Primer
Case Study to develop dimensional/star model for building a BI system which will be used for developing hands-on BI exercise on day 2 with key aspects relating to:
Historical data analysis
Aggregation of data
Attributes
Measures

Hands-On BI Development
High level metadata design aspects
Creation of 1-2 dashboards with 2-4 reports using an open source platform
Aggregation Principles

Major BI Companies
SAP, Oracle and Others

Participation will require attendees to download required software ahead of time for hands on work. Details will be sent 2-3 weeks ahead of time and conference calls scheduled to discuss the downloads etc for preparation close to the dates.

Faculties:

Sameer Singhal, is an experienced thought leader with over 23 years in the space of Enterprise Data-warehousing and Business Intelligence. He currently manages Oracle’s North American Analytics/BI Consulting Practice. His charter includes helping Oracle customers create value through technolgy and cross functional architecture in developing EPM/BI strategies, implementation roadmaps and overseeing execution of full cycle Analytics capabilities.

In addition, other faculties include Praveen Misra who is an experienced SAP consultant and speaks regularly at SAP / BI events and has over a decade experience in the space of enterprise Data-warehousing and Business Intelligence. In addition, there will be 1-2 faculties TBA who are also industry professionals working with Fortune 500 companies in the space of Enterprise Data warehousing and Business Intelligence.
