BNE Durga Puja
Autumn is in the air and we are happy to announce, that Bengalees of New England will celebrate Durga Puja on October 20th and 20st, 2012.
We will celebrate Durga Puja in all of its traditional fervor, delight your taste buds with sumptuous Bengali delicacies and entertain you in the evenings, with dazzling performances by talented local artists and featured artists from Kolkata and Mumbai, India. NIRMITEE is a group of young and talented musicians well versed in Carnatic, Hindustani and Western style of music. They shot to fame as participants in the popular X-Factor contest in India. Their originality and versatility endeared them to the judges, particularly to Sanjay Leela Bansali. They have performed in numerous shows in India and in USA and have sung in Bollywood films like Zindagi on the Rocks and the soon to be released My Friend Pinto.
