SAPNE: MIT SAAS Culture Show 2009
SAPNE, meaning "dream" in English, will provide you with more South Asian culture in one night than you could ever imagine! Culture Show is an annual event showcasing the diverse talents and love for South Asian culture that exists within MIT. Every year, Kresge is filled to capacity with students, family, faculty, and those who appreciate South Asian culture from the greater Boston area. Students at MIT will be displaying their many talents through various South Asian cultural acts including Bharatanatyam, Bhangra, Bollywood and Garba/Raas. It is an evening of fun and culture that is unlike anything else offered at MIT. SAAS was awarded the MIT Undergraduate Program of the Year Award for Culture Show 2006 and 2008 at the Student Leaders Recognition Reception by the Student Life Programs Office! This year is gearing up to be a truly phenomenal show and one that you will not want to miss! TICKET SALES: 3/30 - 4/2: Lobby 10 at MIT 4/3: Student Center (10AM - 5PM) and at the Door (after 6:30PM) DOORS OPEN AT 6:30PM! The 2009 SAAS Culture Show charity is Nanhi Kali! This organization is doing remarkable work in India by providing thousands of underprivileged girls with education.
