Proposals forTheatrics Event / NetSAP
Netsap-Boston Call for Proposals for Upcoming Theatrics Event
The theme of this event is ?9/11 and its impact on theSouth Asian diaspora?
With the 5 year anniversary of 9/11, awareness in our community is pre-eminent. Netsap-Boston would like to sponsor a half-day event in which we invite South Asians to sponsor their creative work under the theme pertaining to the effect and ramification of 9/11 on the South Asian diaspora in at least 3 categories of works:
o Literary (prose, fiction, non-fiction)
o Visual arts (movement, dance, skits)
o Artwork (photography, sculpture, paintings)
We are now seeking proposals for works in each category.
This is a chance to highlight your creativity and demonstrate your works, which artistically encompass the South Asian response to 9/11. Also, this is for a good cause as proceeds from this event will go towards charity.
Proposals must include the category of work (one of three listed above), nature of the work, and description of the presentation of the work.
o Please limit this description to 1 page and plan for a presentation not to exceed 20 minutes in length
o For artwork, these will be displayed rather than presented as a lecture
Due Date: Proposals are due October 25, 2006 (Actual event to be held in January/February 2007)
