Host: Lalitha Kala Lahari (the cultural wing of Soundarya Lahari) Location: Nashoba Valley Tech School 100 Littleton Road, Westford, MA View Map When: Saturday, April 29, 5:00pm to 8:00pm Phone: 781 492 2341 Lalitha Kala Lahari (Cultural wing of Soundarya Lahari) invites you for an exciting evening of carnatic music by the famous Carnatica Brothers Sri Sashikiran and Sri Ganesh. The concert will tap into the songs of the various composers which allude to the seven pivotal manifestations of Shakti, the female divinity: Awareness/Witness state, as Compassion/Love, Maya/Illusion, the manifestation of the primordial Alphabet which is the origin of language, Intellect, Path to self-realization, the Wellspring of spiritual well being, and the Consciousness/the Ultimate source of all manifestation. The uniqueness of this program is that you will enjoy a multimedia presentation in the background on the stage based on the theme of SAPTASWARA SAPTABHAVA while the performance goes on. The details of the chakra in our body that is activated by the raga, the lyric and meaning of the song and pictorial display of importance of the song in our epics will be displayed. While you enjoy the SEVEN Ragas, the chakras in us get cleansed and produces lot of peace and creates an enhanced and rich musical experience. These will be introduced in a subtle way after the initial alapana is over, to allow the audience to try and recognize the raga or song should they wish to.
