Ayurveda in the 21st Century
A Symposium for Healthcare Practitioners Interested in Holistic and Alternative Medicine
Sponsored by the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Office of Continuing Education, Complimentary and Alternative Supportive Care, and the College of Continuing Studies
Presented in collaboration with the International Society for Ayurveda and Health.
Ayurveda is the world’s oldest Comprehensive Health Care System. Originating in India over 6,000 years ago, it has contributed to the understanding of the holistic approach to medicine in the West.
Participants will engage with experts in the application of Ayurveda to the treatment of diabetes, mind-body medicine, psychiatry, elder care, and other topics.
Invited speakers from: Ayurvedic Medical School, Bombay India, Harvard Medical School, Yale University, New York Medical College, Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, UConn School of Medicine, UConn Health Center.
