AIF Boston 2006 Kickoff

To date, AIF has raised over $26 Million for social, educational, public health and livelihood grants and programs in India. AIF differentiates itself by having a wide volunteer and support base, a professional staff responsible for grant making, low overheads, strategic approach, and transparent and accountable functioning. We are looking to kick off another great year for AIF Boston, and will be holding the 2006 kick-off volunteer body meeting on March 11 at 4pm in Cambridge, MA. If you would like to attend this meeting, please respond via email, or join the AIF Boston Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AIF-Boston/) for more details. We currently have some volunteering/leadership roles open. If you would like to use your skills, leadership and expertise for making a positive measurable impact in a fun yet professional environment, this represents a great opportunity. The AIF setup is very flexible and supportive, and it is up to you to contribute in whichever way and to whatever extent that you best can. Azad Oommen, Director of Chapter Development for the global AIF organization will be coming up from New York specially to address this meeting. Azad will give us insight into the latest activities and direction from the AIF global organization, and will be available to answer any questions. We will also be discussing our plans for 2006, and roles and responsibilities for volunteers. This meeting will present a great opportunity to learn more about latest AIF initiatives, get plugged into AIF Boston activities and to contribute your thoughts and ideas, big or small. We have some great ideas as well as an influential community of folks engaged and willing to help. However, we need YOUR ideas and time to make a significant difference.
