MASALA Mela
Come to the MASALA Mela on Saturday evening, October 9, 2004. MASALA (Massachusetts Area South Asian Lambda Association) is celebrating our 10th anniversary in Boston at Machine (1254 Boylston St., Boston) with a party open to all. MASALA is a social group for New England area Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender people. Our events are open to all. This event is from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m. From 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. it will be South Asian dance music. From 11 p.m. until 2 a.m. it will be a Bollywood/Caribbean/Latino mix of music. Come dance to Bollywood, Bhangra, and other funky South Asian music. We'll also have a short show, with performers ranging from drag desi style to a classical Indian dance performance to who knows what. Advance tickets are $15 (available until 10/6). Tickets at the door are $20. Your entrance fee includes a delicious South Asian meal (served between 8 and 9 p.m.). Do come celebrate with us.
