Kathak Dance / Kashma Kshrirasagar
Kshama is a Kathak dancer and is in the field of performing art since 20 years. Kathak dance is a north Indian classical dance originated in temple. With the advent of Mogul rule in India Kathak became a perfect blend of Hindu and Muslim culture.Kshama is proficient in Kathak of Jaipur Gharana style. Kshama, born in Belgaum & brought up in Nagpur, Kshama started learning Kathak at the age of 3 years. Her Guru is her mother Mrs.Lalita Hardas who has learnt Kathak from late Guru Bansilalji,Delhi. Kshama is a science graduate & holds a Visharad & Alankar-I degree from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal,Mumbai that conducts Doctorate level exams in music throughout India. She has performed in western & central parts of India and has topped many state level competitions. Kshama is the recipient of Sringarmani award from Sur Singar Samsad,Mumbai and Nrityashree-98 awards from Kiran Sangeet Samiti, Katni,MP. She has performed on various occasions of some prestigious associations like India-Israel Cultural Association, NEERI, South Central Zone Cultural (SCZCC) Centre, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan Mumbai, Indian Roads Congress national conference, National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of Mumbai University and many more. She has worked as an examiner for the B.A. level dance exams and various dance competitions. Presently she is a member of advisory board of American Biographical Institute. Her future Kathak performances are at London, UK and Toronto, Canada.
