Rajyasree Ghosh started her training in Indian Classical Music at a very early age. Her musical career, ever since, has been a glorious journey. She emerged as a gold medalist both in her B.A and M.A in Classical Music (Khayal) at the Rabindra Bharati University. She was later awarded the National Scholarship by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India in 1986 under the training of Pandit Amiya Ranjan Banerjee. She was a Scholar at the Sangeet Research Academy, where she studied music under the guidance of Smt. Girija Devi and Pandit Arun Bhaduri. Later she also supplemented her talim from Late Pandit K.G. Ginde. Rajyasree Ghosh has performed and won laurels in several prestigious music conferences including the West Bengal Music Academy. She was placed first place for three consecutive years (1984-1986) in the Dover Lane Music Competition in Khayal, Ragpradhan and Bhajan. She features regularly in the All India Radio and is a lecturer at Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.In the year 2000, she, at the invitation of Bangiya Parishad in Oman, went to Muscat and performed several music programs enthralling the audience and earning rich accolades. There after in the years 2001 and 2002, she visited USA and performed several music programmes at Kansas City, San Francisco, Columbus, Dayton, Boston, Houston, and Cincinnati which were highly attended and immensely appreciated by the Indian and the local residents in those places. She has several albums to her credit. Rajyasree Ghosh is a highly talented and acclaimed vocalist of Indian Classical Music. She has the special distinction of being equally versed in both Raga Music as well as the lighter versions of Classical Music, namely Thumri, Dadra, Bhajan, Nazrulgeeti, Bengali Tappa and Puratani.

Shree Nitin Mitta, one of India’s rising tabla players, is a talented young artiste who has recently moved to Rhode Island from India. He started his training in tabla at the age of 9 from late Pt. G. Satyanarayana and subsequently continued his advanced training under Pt. Arvind Mulgaonkar of Mumbai. Both his gurus are disciples of the late Ustad Amir Hussain Khan, who belongs to the Farukhabad Gharana. Nitin has been the recipient of numerous prizes and scholarships since 1988. He has accompanied many eminent artistes, both in India and abroad, such as Padmavibhushan Pt. Jasraj ji, Pt. Rajan and Pt. Saajan Mishra, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pt. Ulhas Bapat, Pt. Nayan Ghosh, Pt. Vidhyadhar Vyas, Smt. Sumitra Guha, Pt. M. Janardhan, Shri Vishweswaran, Shri Gaurav Mazumdar, Shri Sanjeev Abhyankar, Shri Purbayan Chatterjee, Anupama Bhagwat. Nitin is known for his sensitive and skillful accompaniment as well as solo performances. He has toured in many European countries such as Germany, England, France, Finland, Northern Ireland, and the Baltics. He has also had the opportunity of performing at the prestigious “Purcell Room” South Bank, London, and solo performance for “Bandish” in Mumbai.

Directions: From the North: Take rt. 128/I-95 south, take exit 27A for Totten Pond Road, drive all the way to a T-junction, take a right and bear left onto Lexington St., drive until the next T-junction and take left onto Main St., take immediate right onto Elm St. Go through a traffic light and bear right.
