Mentor Me India

Mentor Me India is a non-profit mentoring organization whose mission is to help children in low-income communities grow to their full potential by supporting enduring one-to-one relationships with strong role models. The organization was started by students at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School and is based in Cambridge and Mumbai. This summer Mentor Me India is launching a pilot project in Mumbai called “Mentor Me Didi” for girls aged 9-12 in a government school in Mumbai and is having a formal launch celebration to fundraise for the pilot! The event will be held on May 2nd at the Sheraton Commander in Harvard Square from 8- 10 PM. Refreshments will be served!

Highlights include:

-          *Remarks by Professor Tim McCarthy, HKS faculty and mentorship champion and Tarun Cherukuri, HKS MPA/ID, former Teach for India fellow and Board member

-         *  A night of amazing Indian dance and music performances including the HBS Beyond Dance, MIT’s acapella group MIT Ohms, Harvard Kennedy School’s Brown Sugar, and HBS Bollywood Dance

-          Celebrating Mentor Me Champions who have committed to supporting mentors on the ground
